How To Install and Enable Front Page Extensions

by frontpage

Front page extensions are alive and well, and fully supported at HostGator. If you are building your site using Microsoft FrontPage, this video will show you how to enable the front page extensions.
Installing Front Page Extensions

This tutorial will show you how to install FrontPage extensions in cPanel.

In order to publish a website created in Microsoft FrontPage, FrontPage extensions must be installed.

Scroll down to the Advanced extension in cPanel.  Click on the FrontPage Extensions icon.

*** Need Frontpage hosting but don’t want to pay for a full year all at once?  Go to http://monthtomonthwebhosting.com/ or http://paymonthlywebhosting.com/ and find web hosting just for you. ***

If previous installed Extensions are giving you trouble, click on the “Clean Up Old Extensions” button.  Cleaning Up old extensions is always preferable to uninstalling and reinstalling them.  Doing the latter will rewrite the contents of your .htaccess file, which may contain information important to your website functionality.

Click the install extensions button.

Congratulations!  You now know how to install and enable Front Page Extensions.
